As Reed Turkey, we are looking for a "Health, Safety and Environmental Executive" with below requirements for our client operating in Chemical industry, which is located in Izmir, Turkey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering departments of universities,
- A-class Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Certificate,
- Having 7 years of experience in similar position,
- Knowledgeable about legal regulations related to Occupational Health and Safety,
- Having experience in field applications,
- Experienced in accident investigation and training,
- Preferably experienced in the chemical sector,
- Experienced in Environmental Procedures & Audits and preparing standards, procedures and instructions,
- Team player with strong communication skills,
- Planning and reporting skills,
- No travel restrictions and preferably holds at least a B-class driver's license,
- Very good command of English,
- Proficient in MS Office programs
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with all legal obligations related to Occupational Health and Safety and to maintain the continuity of related practices,
- Conducting all activities in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and general safety rules,
- Carry out risk analysis and take necessary measures in a timely manner, prepare emergency plans, oversee their implementation, and conduct necessary drills,
- Provide training on Occupational Health and Safety, monitor related activities, and conduct audits to intervene where necessary to ensure compliance,
- Contribute to increase the standard of Occupational Health and Safety practices,
- Conducting workplace inspections, identifying Occupational Safety issues, and providing recommendations for corrective/preventive actions,
- Support efforts related to Environmental Policies and Audits,
- Ensure that personal protective equipment is selected and available for use,
- Support all Environmental legal obligation related subjects, waste management studies, waste water treatment facilities,
- Support related departments about sustainability related subjects,
- Follow-up change management related EHS Team tasks.
